Barry and I (Lisa) purchased Koala Houseboats Pty. Ltd. in 1988 (in 2008 we have had a name change, we are now Morgan Waterfront Marina Pty. Ltd.)

We had never been on a houseboat before, but when my parents retired on the River at Morgan, we were constantly spending as much time as we could here.

The business was up for sale so we thought we would give it a go... what's the worst that could happen...?  Well, three years of flood for one!

But, we have found that with every down side, there is always an up side, and despite being in flood, the River was just alive with birds, fish and yabbies, and you could venture up a creek in a canoe and just about imagine that you were anywhere in the world - it was just amazing!

Now, currently we are at the opposite end of the scale, and experiencing a dry spell, even though we are at normal pool level.

Mother Nature I am sure is going through menopause, and at the moment she is experiencing Hot Flushes - soon she will go through the night sweats and we will get rain.

If we are having a High River or Low River, we still have the most picturesque part of the world!

Beautiful sandy beaches, and peace so deep you can find yourself again.  If you take the Houseboat experience with good friends, your bond will deepen, houseboating is a luxury holiday but you also get back to basics, like playing games, talking, reading, watching all kinds of birdlife and doing something not many of us do any more - RELAXING !

When you visit us to hire, moor, slip or construct your own houseboat / boat, or even to store your ski boat, you will immediately know what I mean about our surroundings - it is just magic!

So, don't go around the bend at home - "go around the bend @ Morgan"... you will be glad you did!
