VISITING MORGAN

WELCOME TO MORGAN WATERFRONT MARINA

MORGAN WATERFRONT MARINA

Morgan Waterfront Marina is located 167km from Adelaide.
Morgan is a quiet river Town, yet, once in its hay day was the second largest Port, the first being Port Adelaide.
Morgan has still some of the history available to see in the old Landseer building which has been turned into a Museum by some fantastic Volunteers and I recommend you take some time to visit while in Morgan.
When you travel upstream you will go past the Original Wharf, you can just imagine the Paddle boats loaded up with wool, sheep, and wheat pulled up broadside of the Wharf while being unloaded.
The Train is waiting at the dock to be loaded with all the cargo to then take off and head to Port Adelaide.
The River upstream from Morgan has some beautiful Sandy beaches, and while the land is all privately owned you are allowed to Moor and enjoy the serenity.
When mooring your private houseboat be mindful you are on Private Property so please no chainsaws or motorbikes allowed.
You are allowed to have campfires in season and use any dead wood lying around or bring your own and you must put your campfire out with water and not sand.
You can enjoy some fishing, swimming, boating or just plain feet up relaxing, Morgan part of the River has it all.
